Mira 14K Gold Filled Kyanite Dangle Earring
I created these earrings from my love of the simple beauty of the deep, blue sea. I kept a minimal design for the Mira earrings so that the natural kyanite gemstone colors could take center stage, accented by the aqua blue cubic zirconia stud. Every piece of this earring is built using 14K gold filled components, right down to the butterfly backs and components that are not visible. Please note- the natural gemstones each have beautiful variations in colors and hues of dark blue, whites, grays, cobalt, and teals. The finished piece comes in a gift box.

- Measures 1.5 inches from top of stud to bottom of dangle
- Gemstones are a mixture of dark blue, whites, grays, cobalt, and teals

Care:
Each component of this earring is 14k Gold Filled, including the butterfly earring backs (with plastic surrounding the gold-filled clutch). There is a lot out there on gold filled vs. vermeil vs. gold plated. After much research and speaking with those in the industry, gold-filled seemed to come out on top consistently. Gold filled jewelry is a bit more expensive due to the way it's made (a core metal is sandwiched between layers of gold alloy) and the fact that it has more real gold. This higher percentage of gold and it's manufacturing process allows gold-filled jewelry to have a much longer lifespan than vermeil or gold-plated jewelry, especially when they are well taken care of.
Take care to keep your jewelry out of water. Take off before baths/showers, swimming, and if they get wet, be sure to dry them! Though they may be okay getting wet, keeping them dry and clean will allow for a much longer lifespan.
